Hong Kong police adapt to weapons used by anti-government protesters
Hong Kong police have had to change the way they operate in the ongoing anti-government protests -- from extending shift hours to sharing duties with auxiliary policemen, and recruiting elite officers from units such as the prisons. The police are also working more closely with their specialist counterparts like the bomb squad. 50 specialists in the bomb disposal unit are all trained to handle a wide range of explosives, from petrol bombs to homemade devices and explosives.
